An upbeat and fun piece to play on the piano, "In Flowing Waters" has the sense of floating along, just going where life's current takes you. Part of it is pleasant and part of it is turbulent and dangerous.

I had strongly considered performing it as a solo piano piece, but the feel of it seemed to call for more. The guitar part was a single take performance for me and when I sat down to work on it, I hadn't rehearsed it or even thought through a guitar part for it. What came out was so cheerful and fitting, it honestly surprised me, so I kept it, and have thoroughly enjoyed it every time I listen to it.

It's interesting that throughout the project, some of the music was undoubtedly an expression from within, but some of the songs or passages seemed to be the medicine I needed rather than the symptom I was feeling. Flowing Waters was one of those songs.
